Collage

For this assignment we had to use photoshop to make collage images.
One is a self portrait collage. The other is a landscape collage.
The landscape collage: main image is photo I took when John and I went to Minneapolis. The sky is a sunset I took here in Chicago.
The self portrait is 3 pieces from 2 photos I took of myself.

Form

This assignment went along with the texture assignment, except for these 3 shots we had to demonstrate form instead.

These shots are for the texture assignment we had.

White Balance

This assignment was an intro assignment so we could learn how to use the White Balance feature on our digital cameras. White balance is a feature that allows you to ell the camera what your light source is. The purpose of this is so that the images don't come out tinted.
The photos above: The images of my desk were taken at night and the only light source was a desk lamp with tungsten light. The normal colored image was taken with the camera set on tungsten light. The reddish image was taken with the camera set on natural/daylight.
The images of the apartment buildings was taken during the day and the light source was the sun - natural light. The normal image was taken wit the camera set on natural/daylight. The blue image was taken with the camera set on tungsten light.
The difference in tint occurs because the temperature of each light source is different. Setting the camera for the correct light source corrects the tint. On film cameras the correction is made by using lens filters.
